Where is Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only?

Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only is located in Cabeza de Toro, a separate part of Punta Cana with around 7-8 all-inclusive resorts. It is one of the resort areas located closest to the Punta Cana International Airport, making it possible to reach the hotel within 15 minutes from the airport. For your way to Be Live Adults Only Punta Cana (and to Be Live Collection Punta Cana), it is best to prebook a private airport transfer as this is the quickest and safest way to get there.

Alternatively, if you are traveling solo and would like to save a few bucks, you can also book a shared Punta Cana airport transfer, which is a bit cheaper and brings you to Be Live Punta Cana Adults Only with a group shuttle.

 When leaving Be Live Punta Cana on foot, you can find a few local shops in Cabeza de Toro, hence you can walk around to explore a bit, even though there is not a lot to do. A couple of Punta Cana excursions are also starting right in Cabeza de Toro.

 This resort review is particular about Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only, as this offers many additional amenities compared to Be Live Collection Punta Cana. Actually, it could operate as a stand-alone resort, as it has its own gym, reception, beach, buffet and much more. As you will see in this Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only review, it is worth paying attention to which of the hotels you are booking.

Overview of Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only

 Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only is a very compact resort, where you can walk everything within 2-3 minutes. If you look at the entire resort, Be Live Punta Cana, it is obviously much larger, but when staying at the Adults Only part, everything is very close, even when heading over to the main resort. The distance from the lobby or the furthest rooms to the beach is just 500 feet, which is not more than 2 minutes of walking.

 As mentioned, Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only has a separate lobby at Be Live Punta Cana which is located right opposite the disco and at the beginning of the adults-only hotel. The lobby is designed lounge style, has air-conditioning and features good conditions in case you have a meeting with someone or have to work a bit. 

 There is also a bar outside of the lounge with a nice pool view, which is perfect if you’d like to have a drink in-style during the day or simply have a good chat with friends in the evening.

 Next to the lobby, you can also find the buffet and the gym, which are both exclusively for the Adults Only Hotel of Be Live Punta Cana and are qualitywise a step up in terms of quality compared to those at Be Live Collection Punta Cana.

From this area consisting of the lobby, the lounge bar, the gym and the buffet, you have two accommodation buildings running towards the beach. They are lined parallel to each other and have two long pools in the middle.

In the middle of both pools, you can find a pool bar and a concierge desk. At the end of the second pool, you have reached the beach area of Be Live Adults Only Punta Cana, where you can find the beach snack, the beach bar and plenty of sun loungers and chairs.

 As you can see, Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only has all the facilities you need from an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana (except for à-la-carte restaurants and daily entertainment), which is why it can be considered without a problem as a stand-alone resort. 

 However, you still have access to all the amenities of Be Live Collection Punta Cana. Particularly the main pool might be of big interest for you as it hosts most of the daytime activities, same as the stage next by, which features the daily night entertainment. 

 Between the pool and the lobby as well as the pool and the beach you can find in total 6 à-la-carte restaurants and the snack bar, which does have burgers, sandwiches, salads and other fast food available during the hours when the buffets and other restaurants are closed.

There are also further pools spread out among Be Live Resort Punta Cana, all of which you are free to use during your holiday in Punta Cana.

The beach at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only

 The Be Live Punta Cana beach was one of the things which surprised us most during our stay. As you might know, nearly the entire Caribbean incl. Mexico and Central America is affected by seaweed in recent years for a couple of months, usually during the summer months. And even though it was seaweed season in Punta Cana when we visited Be Live Punta Cana, the beach was very clean and mostly free of sargassum, while beaches of other Punta Cana resorts at the same time have been full of seaweed. The great beach at Be Live Resort Punta Cana is thanks to the ocean fence built in this area. With this installation, the seaweed is kept out in the ocean and (apparently) this one works pretty well. Just the water is a little bit murky in these particular months, but overall you can expect a great beach considering the conditions.

 Besides of this Cabeza de Toro is one of Punta Cana’s beaches, even though it can’t compete entirely with the beauty of Macao Beach, Bavaro Beach or Cap Cana. However, the beach is perfect for swimming and even offers a few tiny snorkeling opportunities. 

 Furthermore, if you walk northwest for a few minutes, you’ll find a stretch of pristine beach, which is not that common in Punta Cana considering the huge amount of all-inclusive resorts.

The beach at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only is a nice stretch, where a lot of comfy sun loungers are available. Some of these sunchairs are either extra wide or in the style of beach beds or Bali Beds. 

 For drinks and snacks, you can visit the beach bar right between the pool and the beach.

Obviously, you also have access to the beach of the main resort, Be Live Collection Punta Cana. 

The rooms at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only

 As mentioned earlier in this Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only review, the hotel is a rather compact and small resort, as it only features around 400 rooms, which are separated into the following categories:

• Superior Deluxe
• Master Junior Suite
• Master Junior Suite Beach Walk
• Master Junior Suite Ocean Front
• Master Suite
• Master Suite Swim Out
• Master Suite Ocean Front

Most of the rooms are renovated and modernized (just some of the Superior Deluxe Rooms are older) and make a pretty good impression – considering we are talking about one of the more affordable resorts in Punta Cana.  All the adults-only rooms are equipped with a pillow menu, bathtub/jacuzzi, air-conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, safety deposit box, a large bathroom with a hair dryer and separate shower, television and free WiFi (which works perfectly well, btw). 

 All of the rooms feature 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, most of the master suites also have a seating area and sofa, which can be used as a sofa bed as well. The Master Suites also feature a working desk and are larger than the junior suites. 

 We stayed at a Master Suite Swim Out Suite, which was a great experience. As I said, the rooms are not particularly new, but well-maintained and super spacious. Particularly the swim-out was really cool here for two reasons:

 – there was a slight difference between the level of the pool and the level of the ground floor. This being said, swimmers in the pool couldn’t look directly into your room which added a bit of privacy.

 – the pool was super large, which means that it was not only a small and private plunge pool, it was a very long pool where you actually were able to swim for a while.

 The last photo shown is more representative of the Be Live Adults Only rooms, as a lot of booking providers don’t offer the older Superior Deluxe Rooms category (which is shown in the first photo) anymore. Therefore, when booking Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only, make sure to book one of the junior suites or master junior suites.

But how is the quality of food at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only and Be Live Punta Cana in general?

When visiting the buffet, you can choose between the regular “Windows” buffet and the Adults Only “Marketplace”. The latter one is much nicer and offers a great vibe, as everything is nearly brand-new, with a fresh and tropical design as well as modern and comfy furniture. It doesn’t feel like a large buffet (the complete opposite of the “Windows” buffet, which is more like a large and unappealing canteen), which is one of its attractions. 

 The food at Marketplace is well-selected and delicious but sometimes lacks some more choices. Food was repeating pretty often, even though I loved the sushi station. However, the really pleasant vibe let us return every day to the Marketplace. 😉

 If you are looking for further choices, you can also visit the main buffet. That’s one of the advantages when staying at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only – you can choose between two different buffets, which also have different food.

For the à-la-carte dinners, we can only share our experiences for one of the restaurants in this Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only review, as just one dinner was included for our stay. Considering we’re talking about one of the cheapest all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, the seafood restaurant definitely convinced us, as it was delicious and well-presented. 

What was also surprising was the beach snack restaurant at the Be Live Adults Only section. Considering the à-la carte dinners were pretty limited compared to other Punta Cana resorts, it was great to see the beach snack having a pretty large à-la-carte choice instead of just a Grab & Go menu. 

 When it comes to the drinks, you can completely stay in the Adults Only Hotel and don’t have to head over to the main resort Be Live Collection Punta Cana. Be Live Adults Only features 4 exclusive bars:

• VIP Lounge Bar
• Buffet Bar
• Pool Bar
• Beach Bar

The great thing about those bars is that they have pretty good drinks if you’re focused on the quality of the liquor, among them Dewars 12 years, Jim Beam, Baileys, Beefeater Gin or the premium Dominican rum Barcelo Imperial. Also, the wine was particularly tasty (not necessarily premium), considering we are talking about an affordable resort in Punta Cana. They also had those proper huge premium wine glasses (and not the small ones), something which makes your wine taste better and which can’t be found that often in all-inclusive resorts in the lower or medium price range.

Furthermore, you also have access to 6 bars at the main resort Be Live Collection Punta Cana. One of them is the disco bar, where the drinks are only included until 12:30 am due to it being a public disco.

 Something I think that should change soon is the use of non-reusable plastic cups when you’re taking a drink to go or at the beach. That’s actually a no-go nowadays and seems like a relic from old times. Most all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana are using reusable plastic cups or polycarbonate glasses.

Entertainment and service at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only

 Be Live Punta Cana is often considered to be a pretty active hotel. It is not necessarily a party resort in Punta Cana, but it is very social and you have a lot of activities going on.

However, the great thing if staying at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only is that you can decide: do you want to have a quiet holiday or do you want to socialize and participate in activities?

 If you just want to relax, you simply stay at the Adults Only Hotel, where you won’t have any entertainment or loud music disturbing your peace. Most of the guests are lounging around the pool, at their swim-out suites or on the beach. It is one of the most peaceful resort vibes I have seen so far.

 However, if you fancy some entertainment, you can head over to the main resort of Be Live Collection Punta Cana and take part in the typical resort activities, such as pool games, beach volleyball, aqua gym or different contests. At night, you also have a daily show at an open-air plaza and further entertainment with the Be Live staff.

Most of the sports activities at Be Live Adults Only Punta Cana are shared with the main resort of Be Live Punta Cana, such as tennis, beach volleyball or non-motorized watersports activities. However, there is an exclusive gym for Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only, which is smaller, but much newer than the main one at Be Live Resort Punta Cana.

If you’d like to enjoy some evening and night entertainment, you also can take part in all the activities and entertainment of Be Live Collection Punta Cana – the adults-only side stays quiet in the evening. After the daily evening show from around 9 to 10 pm, there is sometimes some occasional live music or other entertainment, until the disco is starting at 11 pm. The disco is definitely worth mentioning, as it’s a pretty fancy club, where external guests also have access. This means that you can meet some local Dominicans as well. Just note that, due to it being a public disco, drinks are only included until 12:30 am. 

 In general, Be Live Collection Punta Cana is a pretty attractive option if you are looking for a social option and party resort in Punta Cana. Besides the activities during the day and a pretty active and mixed crowd, you’ll have an open-air live DJ on most days starting at 10 pm, a public disco until usually around 3 am-4 am (sometimes even longer) and a snack bar which is open throughout the night (usually from 11 pm to 6 am).

Regarding the service, everything was as expected for a low-budget all-inclusive resort. You get treated well, the staff is (mostly) working hard and you’ll get most of your wishes fulfilled, but there are now and then some flaws that probably would not happen in a high-end luxury all-inclusive resort. But considering the price level we are talking about, service at Be Live Punta Cana Adults Only was absolutely satisfying.

VIP Package (VIP Level) at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only

 Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only doesn’t have a VIP Level, which is bookable in advance. Certain extra services can be booked on spot, but in general, all clients enjoy the same amenities and facilities. 

There is a VIP section for families called Better Together, but this is belonging to the main resort Be Live Collection Punta Cana, hence it has nothing to do with the adults-only hotel.

Interchanging facilities between Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only and Be Live Collection Punta Cana

 As mentioned, as a guest of Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only, you have full access to Be Live Collection Punta Cana and Apartments Punta Cana by Be Live. Exceptions are the Aqua restaurant, the Better Together family areas and the VIP beach section, which are only available to VIP guests of Be Live. 

 On the other side, guests of Be Live Collection Punta Cana or Apartments Punta Cana by Be Live don’t have access to Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only – another reason why this Adults Only resort has just a chilled and relaxed vibe.

If you are considering visiting other areas in the Dominican Republic while staying at Be Live Punta Cana, please note that you won’t have access to other Be Live Resort in the country, such as Be Live Canoa Bayahibe or Be Live Hamaca Boca Chica.

Safety Protocols and Hygiene Standards at Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only

 In the last months, the Covid-19 pandemic in Punta Cana has paused a bit. In February 2022 the government of the Dominican Republic announced that all Covid-19 restrictions and regulations are lifted, which also applies to the all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana and beyond. However, internal safety protocols are still in place to guarantee disinfection and cleanliness.

During our visit, we haven’t experienced many remainders of the extensive safety protocols once in place when Covid-19 in Punta Cana was at its maximum. Hand sanitizer is still available at the restaurants and the buffet and most of the staff is wearing a face covering, but that’s it mainly. 

 Please remember to fill out the Dominican Republic e-ticket when traveling to Punta Cana, as this is mandatory for immigration. The same goes for when leaving the country, as a new e-ticket has to be filled out for departure. 

Excursions from Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only

When staying at Be Live Punta Cana Adults Only, you should also head out on a few excursions to discover the Dominican Republic. As the hotel is located in Cabeza de Toro, a snorkeling tour comes in handy, as one of the best reefs in Punta Cana is located pretty close to this area – and not many providers are going there. The reef for sure is not an international snorkeling highlight and is also not the best you can find in the Dominican Republic, but for Punta Cana standards, it is one of the better snorkeling areas we have here.

A Saona Island tour is a must, considering the paradisical beauty and the Caribbean vibe which is expecting you on the island. While Be Live Punta Cana sometimes receives pretty negative reviews, Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only enjoys a much better reputation as everything is newer, of a higher quality and much more personalized. I really loved the vibe of this particular small adults-only resort, which was so intimate, even though there is room for improvement for some of the rooms, the selection at the buffet and the reservation policy for their à-la-carte restaurants.

However, considering we are talking about one of the most affordable all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, you are receiving a spectacular price value ratio, especially when comparing the prices in the high season with other Punta Cana hotels. Especially the large pools, the beach snack restaurant, the design of the buffet, the VIP lounge bar and the beach area are wonderful and know how to convince. Therefore, if you are searching for a compact and intimate adults-only experience in Punta Cana without breaking the bank, Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only is one of your top choices to consider when looking for a resort.
