Hey, it is been a when, has not it? I don’t imagine I have penned a website post in a calendar year or so. I hope you’re all accomplishing very well in these insane periods. As always, many thanks for looking at.
I have a problem: What’s your favored U.S. National Park?
Over the earlier two a long time, I have fallen in love with them.
Right before the pandemic, I experienced only frequented a handful of them, generally by accident. But after the pandemic hit, and it was protected sufficient to road-excursion, I drove all all over the place checking out them.
Now I have witnessed 15 out of 63. And sometime, I’d like to see them all.
Initially, there was Redwood Countrywide Park, with its towering trees and black-sand beaches…
Then Indiana Dunes, with its sprawling sights of nuclear reactors…
Then Utah, home to some of the very best national parks in the state: I visited Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
Soon after Utah, I visited Mammoth Cave (Kentucky) and Sizzling Springs (Arkansas), on the way to Austin, which is the place I are living now.
Then there was Big Bend, Texas. The night sky is amazing there! You can see so numerous stars.
Adopted by Petrified Forest in New Mexico…
And most just lately, Glacier (Montana) and Grand Teton (Wyoming). Glacier National Park reminded me of Switzerland with its alpine valleys, purple wildflowers, and jagged mountains. I even noticed mountain goats.
I truly feel so blessed that I have gotten to see so much of our wonderful region in the earlier several a long time.
When I was young, I concentrated only on worldwide travel (this web site isn’t known as Ashley Overseas for nothin’). But about the previous two years, I’m happy to report that I’ve obtained a newfound appreciation for my personal backyard.
It turns out you really don’t have to fly midway about the planet to go on an experience.
As for my favorite? It’s a two-way tie between Redwood and Large Bend.
How numerous national parks have you visited? Do you have a most loved?
(Here’s a total record in circumstance you are curious.)
