Two weblog posts in a row about our Library becoming a Risk-free Place for our LGBTQIA+ kiddos. Why? Simply because we are aggressively passionate about remaining allies to our children. Also, the news is chock comprehensive of alarming illustrations in which mothers and fathers, college districts, and communities are NOT supporting the liberty to browse. The democratic flexibility to give ALL children the selection to come across books without the need of censorship or barriers.
It boils my blood! Why does it feel like we are going backwards with FREADom to study?
So, I wished to give you (pricey reader!) an illustration of our Delight Thirty day period book exhibit, our list of Fiction guides, and how we boost it to our kiddos. Most of this write-up is copied from our Daring College Library Web site, Instagram posts, &

One of my most respected Library friends, Laura C. Davies (Adore her!) who I fulfilled when I was keynoting the ASTE Tech Meeting in Anchorage Alaska had this to say on my Instagram publish:
